Over a course of two months after the first meeting, all preparations for the second meeting were completed with a venue decided and the objectives of the second meeting. This was held towards the end of January in Amman, Jordan where the members met again to finalize the policy memo and to officially launch the PS platform that was unanimously named by the platform members as ‘Yemen Private Sector Cluster’. The private sector cluster members produced a policy memo highlighting the main areas of focus during the phases of conflict and post conflict to discuss and share with the related stakeholders. This has been highlighted to focus on 3 main pillars:
- Engaging the private sector in economic policy making.
- Enhancing the role of the private sector in humanitarian and development efforts.
- Engaging the private sector in recovery and reconstruction programs and efforts
